The continuing guided tour of Italy’s wines
February 11th – March 3rd

During this three class course, Italian wine specialist Luca Vannini will discuss the unique characteristics of Italian wines – both those well known and new to the American marketplace. Participants will taste six to ten wines per class. A variety of foods, including regional specialties and artisan products, will be served to facilitate a discussion of food and wine pairings.

Luca Vannini is the Northern California Sales Manager for Zigzagando Wine Imports, located in Novato, California. He was born and raised in Florence, Italy, and moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1990. He has developed and honed his extensive knowledge of wine — with a particular emphasis on Italian wines — with enology studies at U.C. Davis and U.C. Berkeley, followed by nearly 20 years in the wine business. He has represented a large and diverse range of fine Italian estates such as Antinori, Masi, Vietti and Biondi Santi as well as some of the finest French and Champagne brands with Remy Amerique.
